In 2013 CTV Outside Broadcast LTD, London commissioned Sony Broadcast Solutions Europe to provide a 27 Camera HD OB Trailer.In January 2014 Sony Broadcast Solutions Europe awarded SAS Systems LTD the contract to provide the Technical Installation services for this vehicle.
The Vehicle Consisted of:
1. 13.5 metre, Double expanding trailer
2. 20 x Sony HDC-2500 HD Camera
3. 8 x Sony HDc-3300R Super Motion HD Camera
4. 1 x Harris Platinum iP3 Routing Switcher 576 x1024
5. 1 x Sony MVS-8000x 3D/HD/SD 4ME 164/48 Switcher
6. 10 x EVS LSM-XT3 8 Channel Disk Recorder
7. 1 x Calrec Apollo Bluefin 64 Fader Audio Console
8. 1 x Telex Adam 128 Talkback system.

The project began For SAS Systems Ltd with the first of many visits to Smiths of Great Bentley (ASGB) who were the coachbuilders that had been commissioned by CTV Outside Broadcasts Ltd to provide the custom built Trailer. SAS systems consulted with the coachbuilders to ensure that the vehicle was being built to allow for the best possible cable access to all areas of the vehicle. We were also always available to offer advice on other aspects of the mechanical build of the vehicle.
During January 2014 we began the pre-fabrication of the cabling for the trailer. In March 2014 ASGB delivered the completed trailer to Sony Broadcast Solutions workshop in Basingstoke, UK.
The installation of the technical System was successfully completed by SAS Systems on the 16th of May 2014. On time and within Budget.
